I have used a regular maternity body pillow for a long time due to chronic pain and back issues, and was due for a replacement so was excited to try this one when it came up. It arrived vacuum sealed so I was initially worried it wouldn t plump up well but it comes with instructions on how to beat it into shape. Following those, doing some vigorous shaking and kneading of the stuffing, the pillow began to fluff up quite quickly within minutes of unpacking. I left it for a couple days as instructed and the stuffing had fully fluffed up.The cover feels luxurious with a velvety finish, the creasing remaining due to the vacuum packing will possibly resolve in time or with a wash. There s a zipper all the way along the top to easily remove the cover for washing and washing instructions on the tag. You can machine wash the cover but it s hang to dry, so don t put the cover in your tumble dryer.The pillow itself is very plush and the stuffing supportive but not too firm or too soft. It s also quite light, which is great for those with limited mobility in mind when repositioning the pillow.I wish it was the same length on both sides as I am a side sleeper and sleep with one leg propped up but stretched out, and like to switch sides. Having the extra long side is useful to curl around your body, but not so much if you want to sleep with your leg propped in an outstretched position if you re turned on the shorter side.
